During the days of summer at Muskrat Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Muskrat Lake. Muskrat Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Muskrat Lake truly       is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Don't leave Muskrat Lake without first going for a hike along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, and if you need a location to stay Baymont Inn and Suites Muskegon is a fine choice. There are splendid places to discover along the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail; lakes are such calm spots, why not go to Duck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a scenic lake called Hendrickson Lake near Muskrat Lake;                  dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Muskegon. Going for a hike on the Cedar Creek Cycle Trail is always a fine adventure, and why not camp at Camp Pinewood while you're here at Muskrat Lake.
