The snow is magnificent at Swiss Valley; a tremendous close by hotel is Econo Lodge Paw Paw. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Timber Ridge is in the vicinity of Mud Lake, and of course, this is a fine region for people who like lakes, Lake of the Woods is a lake in close proximity. At Mud Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures       all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's. If you came to camp Leisure Valley Campground is a great location to do that; you'll meet a lot of people from Kalamazoo-Portage here. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine location to spend a night or two. Lakes are nice; Pickerel Lake is a lake that's right next door to Mud Lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Mud Lake; the month                  of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Mud Lake.
