While you're here at Mud Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Midland, and Super 8 Motel - West Branch is a splendid location to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mud Lake, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter       nights. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Lake you can play some golf at Lakeside Golf Course, and a nice place to camp here at Mud Lake is Secord Lake Campground. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Mud Lake, too pleasant to be true. Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Lame Duck Truck Trail. There's delightful hiking along the Mosquito Alley Truck Trail; if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn West Branch is a                  pleasant choice. Mud Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; September is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
