The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Briar Hill Golf Course is a fine golf course nearby, and if you came to camp Lake Park Campground       is a great spot to do that. Be careful coming to Mud Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Coopersville is a fine choice. The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Ford Lake; don't leave Mud Lake without first                  going for a hike along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail. Not far from Mud Lake, you'll come across Peck Lake which is a stunning lake; you can go for a hike on the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail.
