Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Lake Six, and Mud Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Tubb's Lake Resort is a tremendous local campground.       A common amount of rainfall falls here at Mud Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay MAXFIELDS INN is a tremendous choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
