If you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Marquette is a perfect choice, and the Holyoke Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. What would winter be without some skiing at Marquette; there are other spots here than Mud Lake, for example Horseshoe Lake. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Escanaba River - Middle Branch. This lake is so wonderful.       Lakes? Sure, Cataract Basin is nearby, and Mud Lake is not far at all from Marquette. Through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Mud Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Mud Lake. Bear Creek is a tremendous local stream, and Mud Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a glorious local campground.                  Marquette-Days Inn is a great site to get some rest, and a fine location to camp here at Mud Lake is Country Village RV Park.
