Hiking along the Mackinac Trail is delightful fun. During the warmest time of the year at Mud Lake highs are regularly in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and night lows at Mud Lake during the winter frequently drop into the 10's. Mud Lake is right by the North Country Trail, and there are other places here than       Mud Lake, for example Silver Lake. All the outdoors fun things close to Mud Lake will keep you coming back over and over.
