This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Hiking along the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail is tremendous fun, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn BIG RAPIDS is a delightful choice. Summertime highs at Mud Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are       regularly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins is a brilliant local campground, and do explore Danaher Lake, it's a striking lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the North Country National Scenic Trail. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here                  for a while, Big Star Trailer and RV Resort is a great place for that. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September, and February is the month with the least moisture.
