Mud Lake is not the only spot nearby, Little Guernsey Lakes is a nearby lake, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Kalkaska is a magnificent choice. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Manistee Station Cabin and Camping is a nice place for that, and Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is a perfect place to get some rest.
