This lake is so wonderful. Kalkaska RV Park & Campground is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Kalkaska is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Mud Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Manistee Station Cabin and Camping is a great place to camp nearby. High temperatures at Mud Lake throughout       the summertime months are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 10's. Visit Failing Creek if you're here at Mud Lake; a swamp like Crofton Swamp close to Mud Lake has lots of exciting things to see. What a place this is for outdoors people.
