For the period of the summer at Mud Lake highs are mostly in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's. Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Apple Creek Family Campground is a great local campground; after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - BROOKLYN is a wonderful       location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Greenbriar Golf Course is a golf course in close proximity to Mud Lake, and if you need a location to stay Michigan Motel is a tremendous choice. A great place to camp here at Mud Lake is Happy Valley Camp Ground, and Bessey Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Mud Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is February.
