If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Ella Sharp Park Golf Course, and Mud Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Somerset Beach Campground is a good local campground. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Acres Campgrounds is a magnificent site for that, and at Mud Lake you always meet someone from Jackson. Now, you may       think that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Mud Lake. After a long day outdoors Jackson Travelodge is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Lakes are brilliant; Brown Lake is a lake that's close to Mud Lake. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Mud Lake highs are usually in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows at                  Mud Lake throughout the wintertime commonly sink into the 10's. Take a side trip to Sharp Creek; a nice nearby hotel is Country Hearth Inn Jackson.
