A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn University Park, and paddling on Chippewa River is so much fun. Summertime highs at Mud Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Lake; during September       this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. You'll meet a lot of people from Mount Pleasant here; enjoy a round of golf at Pleasant Hills Golf Club. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Mud Lake. Stay the night at South Shore Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is a perfect site to camp, Shardi's Hide Away is a perfect site, needless to say you could also visit LaStrange Lake if you're here;                  it's not far at all.
