Brule Mountain is a great site to do that; Brule River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. What would winter be without some skiing at Ski Brule, and you can run the rapids of Pine River. This lake is so wonderful. The Lauterman Trail is a good hiking trail near Mud Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Iron River Rv Park. So many cool things to do at Mud Lake, so little time. Lakes are       such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Laurel Lake near Mud Lake, and a quick visit to Chuks Creek is definitely a great idea. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Lake.
