Mud Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Camping is available at Life O'riley Mobile Home Park; Red Cedar River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. Mud Lake is a good location of normal rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. | | the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Mud Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
A nice close by hotel is Lansing Super 8 Motel, and at Mud Lake you always meet someone from Lansing-East Lansing. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Lansing Cottonwood Campground since you're here at Mud Lake; Holiday Inn Lansing/South Conv Ctr, Mi is a nice place to get some rest. An afternoon playing golf at Chisholm Hills Golf Club is always a bliss.
