Lansing Super 8 Motel is a nice place to get some rest, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Red Cedar River. If you came to camp Lansing Cottonwood Campground is a great place to do that. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down       during the winter temperatures at Mud Lake fall into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Life O'riley Mobile Home Park is a good spot for that; the nice folks of Lansing-East Lansing like to hang out nearby. From a precipitation point of view Mud Lake is a reasonably typical place; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
