Lakes are magnificent; Tonawanda Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Mud Lake. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Boardman River; a day on the slopes of Crystal Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Interlochen Golf Club is a magnificent golf course close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Lake has       to offer, you can camp at Cycle-Moore; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Duck Lake. Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City is a good site to get some rest, and if you haven’t been to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here. Lots of folks from Traverse City come to Mud Lake, and the skiing at Homestead is nice. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at                  Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside Resort and Party Store is a delightful place for that, and hiking along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail is magnificent fun. A normal amount of rain falls here at Mud Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. Through the warm months at Mud Lake highs are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
