Some nearby water includes Tannery Creek; there are some good whitewater spots on Bear River. Mud Lake is a good place of normal rain; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the summer months at Mud Lake highs are regularly in the 70's,       and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 20's; night lows at Mud Lake through the wintertime typically drop into the 10's. Best Western Of Harbor Springs is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Camping is available at K O A Kampgrounds; for you golfers we recommend nearby Petoskey-Bay View Country Club. This lake is so wonderful.
