The view of Pine Mountain from Mud Lake is striking, and if you've had enough of Mud Lake, Chapin Mine is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Menominee River; some nearby water includes Lindstrom Creek. Very striking scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Norway Mountain, and why not camp at Rivers Bend Campground since you're here at Mud Lake. Get yourself into a kayak       and hit Brule River; Iron Mountain Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a good choice. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A round of golf at nearby Timberstone Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN. Mud Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; September                  is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Mud Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's while Mud Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's.
