People from Lansing-East Lansing love to come to Mud Lake; you can run the rapids of Red Cedar River. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious location to camp here at Mud Lake is Lansing Cottonwood Campground, and after a long day outdoors Springhill Suites By Marriott Lansing West is a great location to spend a night or two. For the duration of the days of summer here at Mud Lake, high       temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's; the night is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mud Lake. Mud Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
