Mud Lake is a good place of common rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Through the summertime months here at Mud Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 10's       all through winter nights. Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Moon Lake Campground is a great local campground; Residence Inn By Marriott East Lansing is a tremendous place to get some rest. While you're here at Mud Lake, you could also go to gorgeous Burke Lake, and camping at Lansing Cottonwood Campground is always a delightful experience. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Mud Lake. Red Cedar River is a pleasant                  whitewater spot near Mud Lake, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Lansing-East Lansing. This lake is so wonderful.
