Sure, Bailey Lake is in close proximity to Mud Lake; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Clare is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. If you're here at Mud Lake, you could explore Carrow Creek; unsurprisingly, this is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Round Lake is a lake close by. Days Inn Clare is a nice place to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chippewa       River. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Mud Lake reach the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular location for folks from Mount Pleasant, and camping at Shady Oaks Campground is always a perfect experience. Mud Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, River Valley RV Park is a splendid local campground.
