Summertime highs at Mud Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Lake through the wintertime usually fall into the 10's. Just can't get enough of       Mud Lake. Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Sea-Gull is a great local campground, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PETOSKEY is a wonderful spot to get some rest. From a rain point of view Mud Lake is a pretty typical location; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Boyne Mountain is a wonderful spot to do                  that, and do visit Walloon Lake, it's a stunning lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Scottland's Yard Golf Course; Bear River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by.
