There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, K O A Kampgrounds is a great location for that, and what would winter be without some skiing at Nubs Nob. Summertime highs at Mud Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Lake through the wintertime usually fall into the 10's. Just can't get enough of

| | Mud Lake. Mud Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Sea-Gull is a great local campground, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PETOSKEY is a wonderful spot to get some rest. From a rain point of view Mud Lake is a pretty typical location; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. that, and do visit Walloon Lake, it's a stunning lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Scottland's Yard Golf Course; Bear River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge South is a good choice, and since you're here, you could also explore charming Deer Lake.
