Gotta ski! Swiss Valley is a splendid site to do that, and get wet paddling on Christiana Creek. You'll meet a lot of folks from Elkhart-Goshen here, and a lake nearby is Heaton Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Best Western Inn And Suites; Mud Lake is not the only place nearby, Shavehead Lake is a nearby lake. Summer at Mud Lake comes with       high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mud Lake. From a rainfall point of view Mud Lake is a rather normal location; September is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Mud Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Hollywood Shores Resort is a tremendous location to camp nearby;                  an afternoon playing golf at Elcona Country Club Grounds Department is always a pleasure.
