The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; all through September this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. Three Braves Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 South Bend is a good place to spend a night       or two. Do stop at Yellow Lake right next door to Mud Lake, it's a lovely lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Elbel Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Fuller's Clear Lake Resort is a pleasant local campground, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Niles-Benton Harbor for sure. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Mud Lake get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in                  the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mud Lake. You just have to love Mud Lake.
