Beautiful Mud Lake has much to offer visitors. You'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Smith Lake near Mud Lake; some nearby water includes McKinzie Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Mud Lake. Near Mud Lake you locate a golf course called PLYM Park Golf Course, and Mud Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Crystal Springs Campground is a magnificent local campground. All through the summertime highs here at Mud Lake get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 10's. Niles Inn & Conference Center is a fine place to get some rest; a great place to camp here at Mud Lake is Nub Lake Camp Grounds. | |

This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Niles, Mi is a great spot to spend a night or two, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Rodgers Lake. Lots of folks from South Bend-Mishawaka come to Mud Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit East Race.

Beaver Ridge Campground
 | 18 miles away ... Beaver Ridge Family Camping is located within 20 minutes of Notre Dame University and South Bend. Potato Creek State Park is just a 5 minute drive. The campground offers sites with water and electric hook-up or, if you're a tenter, spacious, secluded primitive sites are available.
A small campground store stocks candy and snacks, ice cream, campfire wood and those ''oops, I forgot to pack'' things!
An in-ground pool is open from Memorial Weekend until Labor Day Weekend. For the youngsters, we have a playground, basketball court and a grass volleyball court. Or just relax around your campfire, roast a few marshmallows and enjoy a quiet star-filled night.
