There are other sites here than Mud Lake, for example Loon Lake, and Birch Point is relatively close. A pleasant spot to camp here at Mud Lake is Timberline Campground; while you're here here do explore close by Onkeonwe Beach. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Crystal Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Scenic Hill Best Western       Resort, and camping at Vacation Trailer Park Campgrnd is always a delightful experience. So much exciting stuff to do here at Mud Lake, too good to be true. Platte River flows through this region, and time spent at Beulah Beach is always great. Mud Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Homestead is a very popular ski area in                  the vicinity, and since you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Crystal Lake Golf Club. After a long day outdoors Best Western Scenic Hill Resort is a great location to spend a night or two, and if you haven’t been to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here. During the warm days of summer at Mud Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
