If you're looking for a beach in close proximity to Mud Lake, we recommend Onkeonwe Beach, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Loon Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are pleasant places to explore, and Sleeping Bear Dunes       National Lakeshore is no exception; Birch Point is close at hand and always perfect to explore. A pleasant beach close to Mud Lake is Beulah Beach, and you can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Crystal Mountain. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Vacation Trailer Park Campgrnd is a fine spot for that, and enjoy a round of golf at Crystal Lake Golf Club. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures                  in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mud Lake. Having a good time at Mud Lake is uncomplicated. Stay the night at Crystalaire Camp, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Homestead if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Best Western Scenic Hill Resort, and there's some flowing water close by, Platte River is a stream you can check out during your stay.
