This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Alpena here, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Fourmile Pond is just a very short distance away. During the warm months highs here at Mud Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are       commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 0's. Mud Lake is a good spot of common precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is ordinarily the driest month. After a long day outdoors Best Western Of Alpena is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Alpena is a nice choice, and Mud Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Campers Cove                  RV and Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Mud Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again.
