Au Train River is a great whitewater spot next to Mud Lake, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Munising is a great place to spend a night or two. So many enjoyable things to do at Mud Lake, so little time. Going for a hike on the Addis Lakes Ski Trail is always a delightful       adventure, and do explore Perch Lake, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Buckhorn Otter Lake Campground; you can go for a hike on the Chatham Ski Trail. During the days of summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Lake. Near Mud Lake                  you hit upon the Valley Spur Ski Trail which is a good hiking trail; a good close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Munising Wetmore Area. An average amount of rainfall falls at Mud Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly September, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. While you're here at Mud Lake, you could also stop at gorgeous Furnace Lake, and a visit to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful.
