The warmest time of the year at Mountain Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Mountain Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Mountain Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; most of the snow falls through January; the driest       of the months is April. This lake is so wonderful. Dudley Point is in the neighborhood and always magnificent to visit, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Trout Lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mountain Lake. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Mountain Lake is Salmon Trout River; the summit of Burnt Mountain can be seen from Mountain Lake. Tokiahok Head is something                  you shouldn't miss if you're here at Mountain Lake, and of course, this is a glorious vicinity for folks who like lakes, Lake Ann is a lake in close proximity. If you need a place to stay Best Western Country Inn is a magnificent choice; Huron River - East Br. is a fine whitewater spot nearby.
