Moonshine Lake is a good site of normal rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Barchard Lake in close proximity to Moonshine Lake; going for a hike along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails will       let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sturgeon River. There's so much to do here at Moonshine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground is a brilliant place for that. Summer at Moonshine Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's,                  and overnight lows at Moonshine Lake during the wintertime regularly sink into the 0's. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Perch River.
