Bruin Lake
 | 11 miles away First visit was a pleasant one. Boat launch is real shallow, I have a Glastron SX 175 v hull and had difficulty getting boat to clear trailer without backing tow vehicle farther into lake than usual. From there, things just got better. The water is pleasantly clean, but very shallow on the north side. However, the channels connecting Bruin to the other lakes are great. We spent all day on the water. Blind lake is a beautiful little lake with several sand bars, a swimming platform and a couple of rope swings for the kids to get out of the boat and play on. Overall, we were very pleased with the fact that we chose Bruin rather that our normal haunt Portage.... |
Haas Lake Park
 | 17 miles away My family and I have been spending summers at Haas Lake for about 18 years now. Through the years we have made a family of friends there... people who are as close (if not closer) than actual family. Growing up there, I will have to say that I would not trade it for anything. Of those who stay out there, many of us say that it is our favorite place on earth!! I am blessed to have had the time there, and hope that, in the future, my children will spend time there also!...I was fortunate enough to have spent my summers growing up at Haas Lake Park.? Even though I am now 35 years old, I still return to Haas Lake to visit the Haas Lake ''family''. I have made so many friends at Haas Lake and would recommend camping there.... |
