On a good day at Mirror Lake you can take a hike along the Rainbow Falls Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Indianhead is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. A nice place for whitewater paddling right next door to Mirror Lake is Carp River, and don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Scott Creek. The sight of charming       Porcupine Mountains near Mirror Lake is delightful. Lakes? Sure, Lake of the Clouds is around here. Mirror Lake is one of the lakes here in the Gogebic Range. An average amount of rainfall falls at Mirror Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. All year is a brilliant time in the Gogebic Range if you like the outdoors. Big Powderhorn Mountain is a great local ski area, and not far from Mirror Lake                  you'll discover Lily Pond which is a beautiful lake. Little Carp River is a tremendous whitewater spot in the vicinity of Mirror Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mirror Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ontonagon County Park Campground and Picnic Area. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mirror Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Preque Isle State Campground is a delightful location for that, and the beautiful Porcupine Mountains is here. At Mirror Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
