The great folks of Marquette like to hang out close by, and naturally, this is a great region for people who like lakes, Gunpowder Lake is a lake in the vicinity. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Lake Minnie highs are typically in the 70's; the nighttime is a tad       cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Minnie are in the 0's. On a great day you can pop by Grass Lake, a swamp close to Lake Minnie. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Minnie has to offer, you can camp at Country Village RV Park. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Minnie is close to the national average; September is the month                  that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Glide down the rapids of Escanaba River - Middle Branch in a kayak, and Cedar Motor Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little tour to Partridge Creek since you're here at Lake Minnie, and if you come at the right time of year, Escanaba River - Middle Branch offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. You get a delightful sight of Summit Mountain from Lake Minnie, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Marquette is reasonably near.
