Summertime highs at Mill Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Mill Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. If you come at the right time of year, Perch River offers some tremendous whitewater, and the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails offers hiking       at its best. After a long day outdoors Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Lower Dam Lake Campground is a good site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Erickson Creek is next to Mill Lake and is always a diversion to visit, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Beck Lake. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Mill Lake. The skiing at Ski                  Brule is perfect. A typical amount of rain falls here at Mill Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River, and Mill Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Ste.
