Silver Lake Resort is a good campground here, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Mill Creek. At Lake Michigamme during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Michigamme dip into the       0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Michigamme River; if you came for an overnight stay Michigamme Shores Campground is a perfect place to camp. From a precipitation point of view Lake Michigamme is a relatively normal place; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Big Bay Motel is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and Dashwa Lake                  is a nearby lake that you could visit. There are some good whitewater spots on Peshekee River, and close by you hit upon Dutchman Point.
