McLaughan Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. You can run the rapids of Chippewa River close to McLaughan Lake. A nice place to camp here at McLaughan Lake is Family Campground; obviously Johnson Creek flows through this region. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to McLaughan Lake.       When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while McLaughan Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Fairfield Inn By Marriott Mt Pleasant is a good place to get some rest, and McLaughan Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Evergreen Acres Campground is a good local campground.
