McKeever Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; during September this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors AmericInn Munising is a tremendous site to spend a night or two; you can go for a hike on the Valley Spur Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a nice hiking trail close to McKeever Lake called the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail, and a visit to Pictured       Rocks National Lakeshore is recommended. Throughout the warm days of summer at McKeever Lake highs are usually in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at McKeever Lake are in the 0's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at McKeever Lake. A fine place to camp here at McKeever Lake is Wide Water Campground. Lakes?                  Sure, Wedge Lake is in close proximity. Going for a hike on the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is always a great adventure, and there's whitewater on Au Train River for all you adrenaline junkies. Camping is available at Hiawatha Resort and Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a magnificent choice.
