Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to McDonald Lake. A day on the slopes of Bittersweet is just what you need, and Amerisuites Grand Rapids Airport is a perfect place to get some rest. Camping at McDonald Lake is great fun, Sharp Park is a great local campground;       do stop at Baker Lake, it's a charming lake. From a rainfall point of view McDonald Lake is a pretty typical spot; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. McDonald Lake is a spot with many visitors from Grand Rapids-Wyoming, and hey, Turner Creek is a glorious local stream. For the duration of the summertime at McDonald Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down                  it descends down to the 60's.
