After a long day outdoors Double JJ Log Homes is a nice place to spend a night or two, and there are other spots here than Mayo Lake, for example Britton Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mayo Lake while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mayo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Muskegon-Norton Shores come to Mayo Lake,

Mayo Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Knoll Campground is a good local campground, and if you're here you can play some golf at Lincoln Golf Club. Lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Big Blue Lake in the neighborhood of Mayo Lake, and camping at White River RV Park and Campground is always a wonderful experience.  | 13 miles away 1 PHOTO A public boat launch is located at the East end of the lake, just off Seaway drive. It has parking for about 45 trailers. Gas is available at the Mona Lake Boating Club, on the South side of the lake. Access to Lake Michigan may be possible through the channel at the West end. It depends on water levels and caution is advised. Check the marine report first and talk to boaters with local knowledge if you haven't tried it before.
