     Have a good hiking adventure along the Norway Ridge Trail, and Golden Arrow Campground is a magnificent local campground. Summertime at Maynard Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Maynard Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Of Alpena; as expected, this is a splendid  
   vicinity for people who like lakes, Jewell Lake is a lake close by. This place, Maynard Lake, it completely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Maynard Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Bullock's Paul Bunyan Campground is a good location to camp nearby.
Maynard Lake is a good site of typical rain; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the
 
               Devils Lake Trail is tremendous fun, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Potter Lake is just a very short distance away. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Alpena is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; the smiling people of Alpena like to hang out nearby.

stopped off here in june or july '06 on our way to the u.p. but just wanted to say it was beautiful here from the animals, to thunder bay I went and canoed it 'bout midnight to 2 in the morn. with my travel party. the bay itself was fantastic shallow as can be. every one there was friendly. going back in spring of '07 with the rest of my family...Love to camp at Ossineke! Definitely rustic. Count on usually friendly neighbors (including the squirrels and chipmunks). Beautiful area!...
