After a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a good spot to spend a night or two, and there are other sites here than May Lake, for example Coontail Lake. May Lake gets a common amount of annual precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Sturgeon River. Lakes? Sure, Herbs Lake is close by. This is no place for people

| | who don’t like to enjoy themselves. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Brule, and Perch Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby. The snow is good at Brule Mountain. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails; there's whitewater on Rock River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. to camp nearby, and Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a good place to get some rest. Summertime highs at May Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows in the 0's for May Lake.
