If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great world it would be. This lake is so wonderful. Markel Lake is not far at all from Big Rapids, and Strong Lake is a good lake close by. You'll need more than a day to look       at everything Markel Lake has to offer, you can camp at Tubb's Lake Resort. There's so much to do here at Markel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shooltz's Landing is a good place for that. During the warm days of summer highs here at Markel Lake reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Markel Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter                  nights.
