But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Maple Lake. Camping is available at Camp Pinewood; on a good day you can take a hike along the Cedar Creek Cycle Trail. There is a delightful hiking trail near Maple Lake called the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Wolf Lake Apartments       and Resort is a great spot to camp, and the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. At Maple Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Maple Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Baymont Inn and Suites Muskegon is a fine choice; unsurprisingly, this is a                  perfect neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Halverson Lake is a lake nearby. The annual rainfall here at Maple Lake is about average; most of the rain falls throughout August while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
