     Looking for something near Lake Manitou? Florence Lake is close at hand, and if time allows, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a national park worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Very stunning scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Homestead, and Lake Manitou is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Lime Lake Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby. The annual rainfall here at Lake Manitou is about average; all  
   through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. A great close by hotel is Best Western Scenic Hill Resort.
Sleepy Bear Camp Grounds is a tremendous campground nearby, unsurprisingly you could also explore Tamarack Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime at Lake Manitou arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into
 
               the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Lake Manitou.
