The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Manitou is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. The Leland Lodge & Conference Center is a great site to get some rest; Lake Manitou is not the only place close by, Tamarack Lake is a close by lake. Camping at Lake Manitou is delightful fun, Lime Lake Campground is a       delightful local campground, and the snow is nice at Homestead. The warmest time of the year at Lake Manitou arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Manitou temperatures sink to the 0's. If you came for an overnight stay Sleepy Bear Camp Grounds is a tremendous place to camp, and do pay a visit                  to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore if you're here at Lake Manitou.
