Stay the night at Mackinaw City Camping, and if you've had enough of Malony Lake, Penny Lake is close by. From a rain point of view Malony Lake is a relatively normal location; most of the rain falls through September, and the driest month of the year is February. At Malony Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime       are ordinarily in the 20's; night lows at Malony Lake all through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Sturgeon River offers some nice whitewater; after a long day outdoors Chippewa Motor Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two.
