Kalkaska County Log Lake Park is a nice local campground, and not far from Mallard Lake you'll stumble on Bear Lake which is a pretty lake. Gotta ski! Hanson Hills is a wonderful spot to do that, and what would winter be without some skiing at Skyline Ski Slide. For the period of the warm months here at       Mallard Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mallard Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do close to Mallard Lake.
