Don't leave Mahskeekee Lake without first going for a hike along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Edgewood Motel is a wonderful spot to camp. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn - Wetmore, and Billy Good Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so       wonderful. There are delightful spots to look at along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail, and why not camp at Hiawatha Resort and Campground while you're here at Mahskeekee Lake. High temperatures at Mahskeekee Lake through the summer are in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mahskeekee Lake.
