There's some flowing water nearby, State Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay, and Maggie Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tepee Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Brule if you're here, and Dumpy Falls is an inspiring place to explore while here. Throughout the warm days of       summer at Maggie Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Maggie Lake. A good spot to camp here at Maggie Lake is Sparrow Rapids Campground. Beller Pond is a splendid lake in the neighborhood of Maggie Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ontonagon River - Middle Branch.
