You could also visit Yellow Lake since you're here at Madron Lake; it's close by, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Benton Harbor, Mi is a fine location to get some rest. For the period of the days of summer at Madron Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter       nights at Madron Lake are in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Race. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Madron Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Three Braves Campground is a fine place for that; a splendid close by hotel is Super 8 South Bend. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Madron Lake has to offer,                  you can camp at Fuller's Clear Lake Resort, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Niles-Benton Harbor for sure. Madron Lake is not the only site close by, Colvin Lake is a close by lake; an afternoon playing golf at Brookwood Golf Course is always a joy.
